I believe that this project was based off of lines and shape. Without the lines there would be no shape and if the lines weren't aligned right there would be no clear shape. I enjoyed this project because it helped me see that one line can lead to many other and it can create something like an illusion.
The parallel line design was using multiple parallel lines to create shapes which formed illusion type drawings. I used a ruler to help me get straight edges to form parallel shapes, not only did I use it for straight edges but it also helped me align everything with the corners of the page and the sides of the page. I believe that shape was the most used element of design in this project because the main thing focused on the page when you look at it is shape. This is an interesting drawing because it can show what you can make of shapes starting with parallel lines this reminds me of some sort of inverted 3D building type drawing. Shape- Shape is an element of design. And the way something is formed. For example a pyramid can be a three dimensional shape, but it can also be two dimensional. Line- A line is also an element of design. For example a line is one dimensional and they are used to put shapes together by using multiple lines. |
